Our first session is a comprehensive intake where we discuss your health history, Food and body story, current eating patterns, goals, and concerns. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other and create a tailored plan that feels supportive and realistic for you.
What does a non-diet approach mean?
A non-diet approach means that I don’t prescribe restrictive meal plans or focus on weight loss as a goal. Instead, we work together to cultivate a peaceful relationship with food and your body. This includes learning to trust your internal cues, rejecting diet culture, and focusing on health-promoting behaviors that are sustainable and empowering.
Is intuitive eating right for me?
If you’ve spent years dieting, feeling guilt around food, or struggling to listen to your hunger and fullness signals, intuitive eating can be a helpful framework. It encourages body respect, gentle nutrition, and the relearning of natural cues—without restriction or shame.
Do you work with clients who want to lose weight?
I do not offer weight loss as a goal of treatment. However, I recognize that the desire to lose weight is valid and deeply personal. In our work together, we can explore those feelings with compassion and focus on your deeper values—like energy, freedom around food, and health—without reinforcing the harms of weight cycling or restriction.
How often do I need to meet with you?
This varies based on your needs and goals. Some clients meet weekly, while others prefer biweekly or monthly sessions. We’ll work together to find a rhythm that feels supportive and sustainable.
Can I just book one session?
While you are welcome to start with a single session, nutrition counseling is often most effective over time. Consistency allows for deeper support, behavior change, and healing. That said, I honor your autonomy and will never pressure you to commit beyond your comfort level.
